Alkar Technology, based in Binche, Belgium, have applied to World Sailing (ex-ISAF) for a licence to build GRP Mirror dinghies and are currently building their hull plug and mould.
In 2013, at the behest of Jim and Cormac, I wrote the following about Ryan and Michaela winning the Mirror Worlds. I did not know at that time, if that achievement should be described as a culmination, the end of the story, or just another chapter,but Jim and Cormac had asked me to put our family’s experiences down in writing, so that they could be shared by others – so I wrote it as I saw it then.
The Next Southern Travellers Event - Hill Head SC - Sunday 1 June 2014. Hill Head is a fantastic open water venue on the Solent - a wonderful opportunity to race with the 'big boats' in the background with Cowes as the backdrop and sample the renowned friendly welcome that Hill Head is so well known for.
The International Mirror Class of South Africa (IMCASA) presents the IMCASA SAS National Class Championship 2014. The regatta will be sailed at Theewater Sports Club, between Sunday, 27th April and Wednesday, 30 April 2014. Theewater Sports Club will also be the venue for the International Mirror Class Worlds, January 2015. The organizing committee expect a good turnout of local sailors.
